Rall Ava Syrah 2024

This eighth release of the Ava Syrah is a small, intensely selected parcel from an extremely low-yielding Schist vineyard on the border of Porseleinberg and Kasteelberg in the Swartland. Crafted using 100% whole bunch fermentation and matured in large oak to express the unique terroir, the 2024 vintage, despite its low 12.5% alcohol, is the most concentrated and aromatic yet, offering a powerful nose of fynbos, herbs, and tea. The palate is incredibly dense with firm tannins, presenting a savory, spicy, red-fruited profile achieved only from Swartland Syrah grown on these unforgiving soils.
